NATURE NURTURES
HANDPICKED BREATHTAKING, NATURAL LANDSCAPES AND COASTLINES AROUND THE WORLD TO CREATE THE PERFECT SURROUNDINGS TO NURTURE ONESELF AND TRULY OPEN UP TO NATURE’S HEALING.
In an increasingly busy world, a physical sense of spaciousness is necessary to help find clarity and peace of mind. Lokya Yoga offers immersive retreat programmes that aim to reinvigorate this sense of space in both the body and mind to restore necessary balance on all levels.
Along side the yoga practice, all retreats aim to offer a range of therapies (provided by local specialists) to support your overall wellbeing. Massage, Thai yoga massage and yoga therapy ease away stresses and tensions, leaving you feeling relaxed and calm.
On some retreats Mauna (Silence) is practiced. Our minds can be full of noise, through the control of speech we can cultivate a sense of reflection, be more mindful and therefore find stillness & peace by allowing ourselves to tune in to our ‘innermost voice’.
REDRESSING THE BALANCE
It is not lost on us that; organising and hosting retreats around the world has an impact on the environment. Where possible we select an environmental, social justice cause, or charity, local to the area we visit and offer help in the form of raising awareness, active help and giving 10% of profits per retreat to that cause.
NATURE NURTURES
At the core of Lokya Retreats, is a respect for the environment:
-
Where possible, the use of cleaning products that create as little as possible negative impact on our environment are used.
-
Where possible, the use of local produce from local growers and suppliers creates our nutritious meals to support your own health and the local community and keeps the environmental impact as low as possible.
-
When possible the venue kitchens are asked to recycle; glass, plastics, food/green waste, paper, and cardboard. Your participation in this recycling effort is just as important.
-
Lokya Retreats asks everyone on retreat to use toiletries that are sympathetic to the environment and ethical to use whilst onsite.
