We are surrounded by a wild and wonderful energy connecting us to the natural and celestial world. Immerse yourself at The Rou Estate, surrounded by the forces of nature - engage with them, feel empowered by these energies & feel the connection with these forces during the transition into the phase of the Summer Solstice.
On this beautifully crafted retreat you will be guided by two specialists in their fields: Senior yoga teacher Toni Roberts & wellness and ritual advocate, Katy Theakston of The Owl & The Apothecary. On this retreat we will work with the creative energies of Earth, Air, Fire, Water, harnessing their power through yoga practice, meditation and ancient rituals.
Both Toni and Katy will guide you into your realms of spiritual practice by focusing on a physical yoga practice, pranayama, mudras, mantras and ancient rituals to ground overactive energy and ignite dormant energy. The aim is to harness our creative potential and open up new possibilities.
Katy is the founder of award winning wellbeing brand The Owl & The Apothecary and she is a woman on a mission to encourage everyone to live a happy, high vibe life.
Her cosy and creative workshops are a unique blend of wild know-how and practical how-to designed to help you align person, place and purpose. She draws inspiration from the Dorset countryside, ancient rituals, and her love of living well to create unique wild and wonderful experiences.
YOGA & RITUAL WORKSHOPS
We will start by setting clear intentions for the week and each session will focus on a particular element. The physical practice will focus on creative sequencing and movement medicine to attune to nature and foster balance on the physical, mental and emotional planes of our existence.
Progressively we will be tuning into the five elements that represent the more subtle aspects of our being. Yoga can provide a way for us to access & embody the qualities of nature so that we may be our own inner medicine.
Mornings we will be practicing with more vigour. The varied asana practice might range from a more structured and stabilizing variety to a practice that might be more fluid & adaptable in its nature. We will at times move more inwards and at times practice more dynamic & challenging sequences which can stimulate and invigorate the mind and body.
As the day breaks, evenings will incorporate a more restorative nature.
Interwoven with the physical practice, this retreat will offer a range of wellness ritual workshops that align with the emphasised element.
